    Steve McQueen Le Mans 9:zero:7

    Always loved the Gulf oil race car paint scheme. Perfect day for the first ride.

    Hey;

    With all the product out there linking McQueen to the Gulf - Wyer Porsches, you'd think he'd actually driven for them. He was a decent amateur driver, for sure, and certainly could have handled a stint or two in that race, if not that particular car in that race. The movie certainly brought a lot of attention to the sport, and of course product marketeers never fail to take advantage of that kind of star power.

    Nice bike!

    McQueen

    I had to do some searches for the car you're talking about, made me curious. When I opened the link I expected a dark green color like the Mustang in Bullitt. (Saw that movie again a couple days ago)

    I don't recall ever seeing the Leman's film, after looking at a few sites I found this:

    Grand Prix Originals > Steve McQueen Collection, Le Mans, Gulf ...

    I have seen Ford GT's painted like this, thought it was just some retro paint scheme, now I know why.

    Makes for a nice "theme bike"

    Agreed on the Gulf livery. Now, how about more on the bike? Details!
