    SALSA BEARGREASE Carbon Machine

At the Salsa demo, I asked the dude if any changes were made to the 2015 BG. He said no, other than the color and the addition of the alloy version. I forgot to check how it was spec'd, specifically if it had Guide brakes on it. It didn't have the Whiskey wheels, I'm pretty sure.

The top Bear has Whiskey carbon rims and next one down has Marge Lites. The aluminum Bear has Marge Lites as well.

I rode a Beargrease at a demo day on Saturday for 5 miles. Then I came to read this thread to see what others thought of them. This thread is so full of win.
I liked the bike a lot - but will probably end up getting the Bucksaw frameset.

Heavier, but more what I like to do with my bike (actually ride it and get it dirty, LOL).

I demoed a new Beargrease last week and I really liked it. I just wonder how much different the AL bike is gonna feel from the carbon one. I cannot afford carbon.

They will probably be back to Homer in a few days with big grins and great stories.

    This is an interesting picture.

One, it looks like a ton of fun.

So those look like the X9 Carbon Beargrease frames. But they have non-holy rolling daryls on them and they swapped out the carbon forks for a mukluk fork with the bottle bosses.

Interesting, but whatever works. I am sure this is not the first trip they have done with all that cool (expensive) backpacking luggage.

    SALSA BEARGREASE Carbon Machine

They are 3 mukluk 3's and a pug. The folks had done plenty of bike packing where the live in Colorado. They just rented the bikes and kitted them out with gear. The alternator racks were on as well already.
