    Ritchey Commando

I've always wanted a Ritchey bike but most have steeper STA's then I can tolerate. And I've been looking to get a fat bike since I moved to San Diego area a few years ago for desert exploring in nearby Anza Borrego. Once Ritchey came out with the Commando I knew I had to get one.

I slowly picked up parts when I could find a deal, getting some take-off wheels from a Trek Farley for a good price, stole the shifters and disc brakes off my 29er ( which will get some new parts as it transitions to a B+ bike)

I live at the beach so I've got some nice coast to ride. I just got out to the desert for an overnight backpack as well. Love riding the fatbike, what a blast!

Ritchey makes great looking bikes. The Commando is no exception. Enjoy

    Hey senor_mikey -

Have you tried a 27.5x3.8 Hodag on the Commando yet? I read in another thread that you might try it out.

I'm really interested in this frame, but only if I can run the B fat setup - the fixed rear dropouts have me a little concerned.

    Thanks!
    Enjoy the ride!

No, not yet. I have done some measurements and I think it will fit. Tight spot is the at the chainstays, maybe 8-10mm of clearance.

I am in queue for a custom 29+ bike so the B fat project may wait 'till next summer.
