    The rep button

Does this only let you add rep once?

I've been trying to add more rep to Drew Diller - it seems odd he has only 5 after all he's done, and yet I see posts by people with less than 100 posts who have the same and nowhere near as significant or innovative contributions.

I bet that you can only add rep once per post - since that's how it shows up on your UCP. Have you tried repping a different post?
This isn't a "you're doing it wrong" topic.

I don't know about this forum specifically, but most forums I have see with "rep" require you to "spread it around" before giving more to a single person. They don't want one person's friend or alternate ID just clicking the "add rep" button over and over and over to run the numbers up I think. You may need to hit another 5 or 10 people before being able to "rep" the same person again.

Tried it on different posts/threads but get the same result. I can see how it can get abused (and probably is) which is why I was trying to raise Drew's ranking because he's making a genuine contribution.

Maybe the rest of you could click on the rep button for him.

Did you try it on another person or the same person just on another post/thread?

There are rep rules, you can only give so much in a 24hr period and you have to spread it around before giving it back to the same person (100 reps before you can return). So get out there and spread it around like you are a Hollywood starlet. Then hit up Drew again.

I hadn't paid much attention to it until that ultraspouting bloke came along.

It was noticing the disparity between mine and Drew's that started this. I'm just a bodger, he turns a pile of bamboo into a proper bike.

100 reps? Gee, I better head over to the fixie forum and big up some of the fashionistas

So don't click me, click Drew.

I think after a certain amount of rep, you need to have a real life conversation with that person.

Man, that guy is an *******! *takes rep away*

It's amazing on how they throw around rep points on some forums and others not at all. Alot of mine came from a pic of my Niner on the 29er forum.

my negative rep was "note to a$$, STFU"
I'm almost positive that guy sold his fat bike because he was "disappointed with its performance"
