    Recommend builder, buy from....?

    Hi All -

I'm interesting in picking up a fat bike but don't really want to build one out (don't have the time to do all the matching, organizing and listing of parts, and working with what component where, and building)

I've seen the Surly bikes but I also saw some from FatBikes.com (go figure, with the 300x250 ad).

Wanted to know what other builders are out there that you all have worked with or would recommend?

    Thanks

FAT-BIKE.COM | A Resource for Fans of FatBikes!

Scroll down to the section called Fatbike Manufacturers. That's a complete list as far as I know.

    Thanks jpettit -

Looked on that site earlier and didn't even see that among the content - seems like good content to have in the header nav ... hint hint for the site manager.

QBP (Surly/Salsa), Chain Reaction (fatbikes.com) and Speedway (fatbackbikes.com) are probably the main sources for complete fatbikes. There are definitely some other shops out there that have built a lot of them as well.

Yah, if you go Pugsley or Mukluk, pick the package you like & order!

If you go with a Fatback, 9:Zero:7 etc, they will work with you, put the parts on it you like, & build it up as well. (likely pay a bit more but if you are pciky about parts, that would be the way to go)

Go for a Schlick Cycles Northpaw!

Hands down my favorite fatbike, and plan on having them build me one up when I'm ready to upgrade my
    Pugsley.

They are coming out with a 170mm frame soon.

Edit: After owning 3 different fat bikes I really really like my new Fatback!

Chris Herting, of 3D racing here in Durango, is building very nice fatties. At least 2 have shown up on this forum.
That is about all he rides anymore, from my observations, so he knows what works.
