    Pugsley Crankset Options

I am building a Pugsley and have been searching high and low for part compatibility and still have one question I need cleared up.

I will be building a 2014 Pugs frame with Rolling Darryl rims wrapped in either On One Floaters or Surly Nates. Running 2x10 will a Sram X5 crankset allow for enough offset for the chain to clear the tire on the 82mm rims or will I need the MWOD crankset to add more offset.

My search hasn't turned up anyone using this combination, and I know the Pug Ops uses the MWOD with the 82mm rim combination so i'm sure that will work. I'd like to use the Sram x5 (or possibly x9) if they would work however.

    Thanks for your help.
