problem with FD-M786-D direct mount front mech and small 22 tooth chainring

    Hello,

    I have a problem I have bought
Problem Solvers Direct Mount Adapter BSA 100 (43,5 mm offset) but it wont work with Shimano xt FD-M786-D 2x front derailleur and phil wood bottom bracket I using it at my 9:Zero:7 fat bike. Problem is that front derailleur is to far than my little chainring 22 tooth I can use only my middle chainring. If I should buy BSA 100 (39,5 mm offset) but it for 3x front derailleur. I have spend my money to nothing... What you recommend?

    This is hard to read.

Are you saying that the 43.5mm FD adapter pushes the FD too far into the chainrings after adjusting the limit screw? If so, the 39.5mm adapter would help. It's certainly the cheapest fix to try first at least. What crankset are you using?

I'd bet that your cranks are actually a triple crankset, correct? Even if you only run the small and middle rings, it's still effectively a triple crankset.

You need the other Problem Solvers adapter.
