Offset rear wheel- geared or single speed

I am looking to build a new rear wheel for my Pugs, something mid to high-end hub like a King, I9 or Hope. I will only be using a few cogs (3 or 4 from a dismantled cassette) on it at most, so I am wondering if going with a SS hub will build a wheel that is less strong than a geared version due to the flange being pushed out farther. Also, any recommendations for a builder who will do it right the first time? My local wheel guys have no experience in building Pugsley wheels, and I don't want this to become an experiment for them.

    Thanks in advance.

There's the DTSwiss one too. The few cm or so the flange would be shifted won't really help or hurt in real life. Might be a good topic for a thread, but I haven't really heard of any wheel failures that weren't due to adding too much drill-ium.

Mike of lace mine 29 just quoted me a fantastic price on a great wheel build for my pugs.
Go fill out his online form and try it out.
I just have to figure out what direction I'm going with my pugs now!
