New question here. Not fat yet?

I'm sure there's plenty of others like me hanging out here who haven't managed to procure a fat bike yet.

How close are you guys and gals to getting one? What's your realistic timeframe? What are you going to get?

Sweet. For me it's the On-One Fatty that's on my list. Hopefully before Christmas. Fingers crossed and a lot of hard work to be done between now and then.

Decided to jump in this year--purchased a Moonlander--should be here this week. I XC ski during the winter, but figured I would extend my commuting season to/from work with a snow bike this year.

I am suffering. I had a hot 9-0-7 but as you know my wife is now ridding it. My new one should be here mid to late September. I think it's harder having had one and now going without for months. Fat bikes are addicting. I have been forced to go cold turkey.

Ordered a On One Fatty a week ago today...must have stayed on the same UPS truck from Oregon, just got the 1st update of it arriving in Jacksonville, FL this afternoon. Now it's got about 3 hrs to travel back west....I can't wait...I'll be at my local UPS store before it heads out on the delivery truck by 7 am for sure!

    Re: Not fat yet?

Saw some guy on YouTube ride a pugsley through a pond about 5 years ago. I was just getting into biking at all. Recently I committed to mountain biking half time instead of all road, and the fat bike is all I can think about.

I think buying new will be too expensive, so might have to wait fir the used market to cone around (if it ever does)

Meanwhile I just read this forum religiously.

    Patience.
I started reading the sub forum in 2008 and every day religiously in 2009. Bought a frame in 11/2012 and just started riding it 3 weeks ago.

Glad I waited out the choices beyond Curry squirt.

Last year, I bought a Fatback 170mm frame, thinking that Bud and Lou would work in it. I quickly learned they would not so I flipped the frame and now I'm waiting on the 190mm 9zero7.
I'm doing a black ano frame with clownshoes and an OD crankset. Then I'm building a set of Rabbit Holes and Knards for it as well... Two bikes in one.

    Re: Not fat yet?

Here is my situation. Desided to sell some bikes to take a girl on a trip after trip bought a ring. Now Bahamas wedding October '14.

No new bikes till its over. Going to try to do the 4 Leadville CO races this going to rent Pugsley and hopefully find a moonlander to rent. Then try to demo a Fatboy.

I really want to get the Ground Control 4.6 on a Pugsley with moonlander fork.
Why? I own a Pug Dog, and i want to snow race with him in a basket. How cool would a pug dog racin on a pugsley be!

I was between a 9:zero7 and a fatboy. Ordered a Fatboy. I wanted a fat bike for years and was going to pull the trigger on one however the fatboy came along.
