Newbie question: Duct tape for a rim strip?

I searched the forum and was unable to come up with the answer.

I would like to run colored duct tape for a rim strip. How do you keep the sticky side of the tape from sticking to the tube?

Sorry if I missed a previous post on this subject.

Thanks

Use your duct tape color of choice sticky side to the tube . And cover that with strapping / shipping tape. The kind with the filaments running through it. The duct tape will stretch and bulge, the strapping tape willpprevent that and weighs next to nothing.

I use one layer with baby powder on the inside. Note, the baby powder doesn't completely prevent adhesion between the tape and the tube so I normally have to replace the tape when I deflate the tube. No, biggie unless you are on an expedition in central Alaska. Then I would use two layers facing each other.
