    New Lake MXZ400

    New Lake MXZ400-fb_img_1454089901313.jpg
Pic from the Angry Catfish fb page. Highlights include twice the insulation as 303s and a flexible upper part.

Anyone else stoked about these? I've got the 303s and mx145s and they're both super comfortable but lack both insulation and waterproofing. They come in wides though so I keep buying them.

Nice! I'll be watching those with interest. Might be worth swapping the 40Below supergaiter from my MXZ302s to these and keeping the 302s for 15F+.

This is the first picture. You won't be able to purchase for months and months.

I love my 303's. So comfortable. Never think about them. That kind of gear.

After adding aerogel insoles, I have never had a problem with warmth. I would buy these over 45nrth in a second due to reliability alone.

Apparently the new(2016) Wolvhammers are stronger and have more abrasion resistance but early reports indicate they are less insulative than prior models.

So it appears I will have to wait till the 2017 Lake MXZ400 are available.

Those are awesome looking. My 303's are warm. My only gripe with them is the upper part rubbed all the black off my crank arms. These look like they won't do that.

Not necessarily sold on these from the picture. I prefer the way the leather lays smoothly over the top of the foot with the MXZ 303. I also prefer the sole on the 303, best I can tell from this picture.

I was so close on buying the 303s and I'm glad I didn't. I knew they were up for an update.

This is great news! I held off on getting clipless fatbiking boots this season.
