New chain has a kinked link!

I was lubing up the new chain and noticed it has one link that doesn't straighten out after going around the gears...should I replace it with another master link or go for another ride and see if it loosens up? I don't want to ruin the AB oval ring I just put on.

Tried that; doesn't seem to help. I think it's a mfg defect.

You tried wiggling it side to side? perpendicular to the way it's supposed to move? Stiff links are common when connecting chains with a pin and that's the way to loosen them up.

Is it a shimano chain? Did you push the pin in just too far or just not enough? Try putting the chain tool back on it and push it just a hair to either side.

So this. I've had new chains, and ones where I pushed a pin out and back in, where they were stiff and wouldn't bend. Just grabbed the chain and put a little torque on it side to side (90 degrees off the direction the chain should bend) and it loosed the chain up. Of course, you don't want to man-bear-pig the thing. bend it a little, see if it works, bend it a little more, see if it works.

It's a KMC chain I had to cut some links off to get the correct length and use a master link to connect the ends. I'll try wiggling it some more. Doubt if they'll take it back since I shortened it and have a few rides on it also.

Wiggle/bend it perpendicular to the rotational axis, as mentioned above. You can also insert it back into the jaws of the chain tool, with the teeth between the links as if you were making a cut, next to the trouble spot and use that as leverage as you bend the links at the trouble spot.

If the masterlink is stiff you might have gotten the wrong masterlink.
