That looks great for a homemade bike !
Would you care to tell us more about it, and if you have them, maybe share some more pics of the build ?
And where in France are you located ?

Is that an optical illusion, or did you cut off the nose of that Brooks ?

Fontainebleau is a great place! Lots of sand and big boulders, a good place for fatbiking and maybe the best place for bouldering

    ps. Nice bike!

Don't forget to post the link to the thread in the framebuilders forum over here as well.
Looking forward to see the pics.

I travel to Paris around 2 or 3 times a year, and friend of mine told me of the Fontainebleau Forest and it sounded very good.
One of the things that i have planned in the very near future is to take my bike with me on the train.
And next year i want to go to Paris by bike.
I want to see more of the city and a bike is ideal for that. (but i won't do it on a Velibe !)
And i have a been in the catacombes with a good friend of mine, and he told me that i would have a great time riding in some other parts of the system, so now i want to go there again, but with my bike.
Only bad thing is that the Parisian traffic is f*ck*ng crazy.

    Really nice bike, I'm impressed.
Love the colour and the military theme. That green would look NICE on my Pugsley build (front loader yellow)

Congrats for this first build !
I'm not fond of those tires but the rest of the bike rocks !

Hope you enjoy it in the forest !
You know the poor skills of french people for foreign languages so please be indulgent with me !

    The First ride !

    Thanks everybody !

Today was the first test for my prototype and that was a very good day !!!
for information : 20PSI on tires (adjusted during the ride +/-), 86kg for me
    wet conditions but not muddy

After the little fog disappears, let's go to the "3 pignons forest".
The first part of trail is normal and after few kilometers i can find sand.........and big rocks
the bike behavior is fine and i have a good feeling with it. i think this tire size permit "direct lines" .
just perhaps a bad feeling on wet sand after horses passage: a little bit shaky (will be improve with low tire pressure )

So : FATBIKE is validate for me, i need to ride a stock model to compare and try the others tires

    Next ride : the rocks

    New test day :)

Today, with less pressure on tires, i ride my new bike in rocky trails and on the "beach" !
I have the chance to choose between classic trails or more sandy trails...so, as i need to know how is riding in sand....i choose sand !
The site is : Les sables du Cul du chien (it's like a beach without sea)
Result : not good for chain but for me yes !!!!
