My Wife Just Stole My 9-0-7 Lefty

I told her she would love it but couldn't convince her to ride it. Tonight I put some flats on it so she would feel more comfortable and we rode on the local power line. Now I have to buy myself the new 9-0-7, 190 frame.

As far as bike thefts go, that's a pretty good problem to have

She said the same thing every one else say's on their first fat ride. I feel like a kid! I feel free. We have ridden a Santana road tandem for many years and she got so used to not steering, braking or shifting when I bought her a cruiser bike last year she said she couldn't ride it. Last night I finally convinced her to try the fat bike the magic happened. I couldn't be happier.

Just keep that one hidden away...until the new and better comes out! But face it...at some point you will have to buy TWO new bikes...
Just like Fat Bikes...the posters on here can go anywhere...and do.

Man, that's the sort of problems you wish for, congrats Looking at that pic, you might be able to make her even happier if you throw on a stem about 20mm shorter, bit stretched out for a "Cruising" type bike

I am a pro fitter so I will definitely get her set up as soon as I can get her off it for a minute. When she stole it it was configured for me. I don't ride it as a cruiser. I ride it on the local single track just like my other mountain bikes.

my girlfriend requested a fat bike for herself after pedaling mine around. Her only request is that it end up with a lot of purple stuff on it. There is currently a small beargrease sitting on the top shelf of the closet Now I just have to strip the blue off it and put purple graphics on it for her.

I saw the photo, had the same 'fitting' thought, then saw your byline "...www.fulltiltfitting.com..."

    I was laughing.

Guys, my wife had a fat bike before me. I thought it was so stupid................

None left like the one you scored, do have clamps though.

Sounds like it's time to tell her to go fish!!!!

Good for you Gene! When we get back from our trip I am going to start working on a new Fatback for my wife. She tried mine (with lefty) and loved it. She has been telling everyone that I am going to build one for her so I am not going to be able to put it off much longer. I would like to use a rigid fork but I am sure that won't fly so I will be looking for another lefty fork and talking to Craig about clamps. Not really a bad problem to have though the way I see it.

Yeah Mike. I am very happy she has started to ride. It will take a while for her to gain some confidence. I don't see her ever ridding any thing technical but that's cool. There are plenty of places to ride that are non technical like the power lines and your trail to Fair Haven. When you get back we will all ride together, even if our new fatty's aren't ready you and I can ride our non fat's and the girls can ride the fatty's. Hope your enjoying the trip!

Well we talked it over today and we agreed. I just put the new 9-0-7, 190 mm rear end McGrath with Bud & Lou on Clownshoes on pre-order. The bad news it wont be delivered until September. This one will be a rigid (for now). I will finally be on the fattest tires made until the next fattest tire made comes out.
