Keeping the faith (Stolen Lefty Moonlander)

Hey all, just wanted to resurface the info. I'm still holding out hope that my bike will turn up. Bike was stolen from my garage in Tempe AZ about 5 months ago. It's a Surly Moonlander with the Lefty fork swap. It has reflective white rim strips, cannondale lefty front fork, with a project 321 front hub. Thank you all for keeping an eye out.

You know the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words. Just a thought.

That has got to be one of the more stupid choices as far as bike thefts go.

Like, a Moonlander alone is atypical, moreso with a Lefty... it's gotta turn up somewhere. Call all the bike shops in your area, set up a craigslist alert, an ebay alert, etc to notify you with appropriate keywords.

Based on your post history, this is the second time your Moonlander has been stolen since December?

Not to jump on the wagon, but may as well throw it out there that my salsa mukluk 3 was stolen from me in May from Tucson. stock 2011 model asides lights and bottle cage, brother saw a guy in UMC branded shorts riding the same model with a sketch story in Marana around tangerine, but haven't seen him since.

There is hope... My gf's bike was stolen. I immediately registered it on stolenbikeregistry and after a week or two gave up on it. About a month later, I got an email that an LBS had gotten the bike from a kid who wanted to sell it for $100 (for a $3000 bike). The owner gave the kid a few bucks and sent him on his way. We got the bike back with a few scratches, but still in good shape. Good luck!
