I wonder who actually builds the frames for them?

Dual disc tabs on the fork? The "wrong" one should be on the other side.

    Probably for a motorcycle-style setup

It's just a Tommisea that they repainted for publicity purposes, the Tommisea badge was still on the headtube (I doublechecked )

Yeah, I think that's the Keen footwear logo on the toptube.

What I meant is that above the Keen logo, on the headtube, there was this metallic logo plate (you can just about make it out on the picture) of Tommisea - after taking a quick look at their website I doubt they even repainted it: it comes standard in a similar yellow.

It's probably a stock Tommisea in the 8-speed Sturmey Archer hub version, they just swapped the stickers to have an eye-catcher at their stand (which succeeded ).

Find me a brake that will work well like that. The only dual disc fronts I've seen are BB7's with a dual cable lever and that needs to pull the cable up. The wrong tab has to be on the opposite side to pull the cable up. Hydros should work, but the reservoirs aren't going to be big enough to push all that fluid. Perhaps if you did a hodge podge of a large reservoir DH lever with small XC brakes it could work.

Sorry, yes, I've no doubt that it's a Tommisea...I just found it curious that it carried the Keen logo (until I took a better look at the photo and spotted the large display of Keen merchandise in the background... )

Perhaps with that insanely long-assed wheelbase, they’re trying to invoke interest in human-powered sand hill climb races. That’s my only $100 guess.

I think they're doing that so that they can build them with 135 mm symmetrical rear ends and still have the chain clear the tire.

The long wheelbase makes sense for really loose stuff. It gives a better weight distribution.

I've never ridden one of those, but I'd expect the rear end wouldn't be as likely to bog in.

Pedalling efficiency is another matter entirely, but ok for the flats.
