How to get the Beargrease rims?

I want the bright blue wheels the beargrease comes with, does anyone know how to get them? I guess I could wait for some takeoffs from someone who wants clownshoes but if there is a better option I'm listening!

You can get pre-painted Surly rims new:

Fatbikes.com Surly Limited Edition Rolling Darryl Rim

Just depends on colour you are after and availability.

Any bike shop can get them from QBP. Where are you located? Freewheel bike shops in MN have them usually in stock. You will have to get them built though... as far as I know there are no completes you can just buy. Clownshoe rims also have colors now.

That's sort of accurate, and sort of not. The rims were available in limited quantities to any shop with a QBP account. Once they're gone, they're typically gone for good. Then next season the metro-fashionistas at Salsa will come up with new colorways and Surly will make their rims to match.

So the Tron blue Darryls that the OP is after *were* available to anyone/everyone. But there aren't many left out there. Right now I have 4 blue, 2 green, 6 purple, 2 yellow, and 2 orange.

    Cheers,

    MC
