    Happy toes

I need to add that I have not used these, but I have found great success using the 40 Below K2 Superlight supergaiter for three or four pair of winter bike boots...good stuff...

Those worked great! Used them last year glued to a pair of oversized Lakes. Highly recommended.

My cheap fix was to throw some $15 down slippers over my regular mtb shoes. Not a good idea for overflow, but they have kept my feet warm. I got a pair of these 'Genuine Down - Mens Genuine Down Filled Duvet Slippers ' at amazon and they just barely fit over my size 46 mtb shoes. My only experience so far is that they have kept my feet warm in multi-hour rides in the teens.

Just got off the phone with Joel at 40 Below. Great guy, very enthusiastic about the product and the potential. He said they're working on getting mediums available in addition to the L and XL already on the site.

He's is, isn't he. Great guy! You have no need for a medium, I've seen your feet.

How do they stop water from going through the cleat interface?

I wonder how these compare to the overboots? I have a pair of the Light Energy Overboots and these look about the same.

Edit: Just reread the specs... Looks like 3mm neoprene on the overboots and the foam insoles and 6.5mm neoprene on the Super Gaiters.

I wear alpaca socks, merrill sandals and my insulated Neos navigators. Bought the Neos at Sportsman Guide a few years ago ($49 on sale). My feet have been toasty, warm and dry. I bring chemical warmers to add, just in case, but have not had to use them so far this year.
