    The Great Pumpkin

    After riding my Mukluk stock(except for BFL's) for the past 6 months, I decided it was time for some upgrades;
    -Carver carbon fork
    -Niner carbon bar and post, Thompson stem
    -X9 rear deraillier
    -Pauls Thumbies with SRAM TT500 shifters
    -Race Face crank
    -Marge Lites on Hope hubs, orange Surly rim strips
    -HuDu's
    Just under 28 lbs on a bathroom scale, so it might be a little off. Need to do something about that white saddle.

    Very smart looking machine!!

    Look up Charge, you can get them to make you a custom colour saddle! Pricey but they are very comfortable!

    I like it lots!!

    p.s. ditch the Surly rim strips for some ribbon and save some more weight.
    And I love beer!!

    I started with 2mm craft foam (EVA) and made a continuous rim strip, and it weighed about 11 grams each, but still needed some tape to keep it from getting torn, which took it up to about 30 grams each. The Surly rim strips only weighed 43 grams, and are more durable and easier to clean, so I can live with the weight penalty.

    Wow that is super cool, I like those forks too. Maybe mine might get a midlife upgrade in the fork department down the track.

    I saw some on-line earlier today- an orange and black one just like the white one I have. But $130 just to matchey-matchey? Yup, most likely. Damn OCD (shouldn't it be CDO, alphabetically speaking).
