Frame 170mm rear combined with 135mm hub and adapter

Is it possible to have a frame with 170mm rear, and use a 135mm hub with adapter? I'm currently thinking IGH (Alfine) on a 170 mm frame. Will the wheel need to be purpose-built for exactly this combination?

I've tried to search this forum, but cant figure it out. I saw some pictures on rear hub spacers, and reckon this is for 135mm hubs in 170mm frame? Cant remember which post though.

Put in a phone call to Fatback bikes. From their website:

EDIT: I say call them because the word "here" is not linked, including on their site.

Can I run an internal (IGH) gear hub on your frame?
We have an amazing new dropout design that will be available for 2012/13 that has an adapter option that will allow the use of an internal geared hub (IGH) like the Rohloff an the Shimano Alfine. More information can be found here.

There are not "universal" adapters, but the Fatback already mentioned and the Salsa Mukluk have specific adapters:

Fatbikes are much more fun than they should be allowed to be!

Is anyone making 170mm to 135mm adapters for any of the different Paragon dropouts?

I was contemplating a custom build with a 170mm rear but there is currently only one IGH that would work.
