The next time I have a bike idea that is too crazy, I will think of this, and then just do it.

This isn't a "you're doing it wrong" topic.

Lets see...No disturbing of sensitive ecosystems...noise?...no more than a windy day...the perfect bike for our times if I can self propel the thing.

Wind powered?...nah...Solar?...everywhere except the far north or south regions during their respective times of the year...might make the rest of us happy! Might even get a cost offset from uncle sam...

Wait...wait...somebody is bound to come up with the idea of a pilots license...flight plan...etc

    Well...great idea while it lasted.

You don't need a pilots license to paraglide, or hang glide, I wonder where the stipulations come into play.

Looks more like a big RC thing than a bike.

Rider seemed kind of stiff, then I saw the guy with the radio, and knew it was a dummy riding.

Schott, Basically, it is about the weight and speed of the vehicle that dictates a pilot's license/ratings, and certification of the aircraft. Take a look here:

    Flying Fat Bike

LOL. I remember seeing the one that was all human powered, and the size of a kitchen. I wonder how it would do as just pedal assisted. Looks like it is still attached to the rear wheel, wouldn't want to set it up fixie!
