First Rides Of The Year. Love My Muk.

Finally made it up to Omaha and hit Tranquility and Swanson parks. I figured I'd be gasping my way around like I was last year and worried that I'd be pretty rusty but had a total blast bombing trails.

Not sure what happened this year to get the extra strength but I was making it up 95% of the hills w/o stopping or gasping, doing pretty good around corners/downhills and no crashes.

A guy at Swanson had a Pugs and we talked some out in the parking lot and then I headed out. He caught up to me later and we talked some more until he was able to pass me and keep going. If he's on here and reads, thanks for the confidence boost and the short ride.

Over the winter on my Muk and this spring via my cross bike my shifting has completely improved in dexterity and in smoothness. No chain suck problems this trip either. Being able to accurately shift has made a huge difference in my riding, skills, confidence and control.

It's been amazing to get out on the trails and spend time doing what you love, blow off steam and have a great time even in 90 degree weather.

Can't wait to get out again.

Glad to hear you're still enjoying riding after your crash a few months ago. And congrats on the new skills and improved fitness.

    Patience & Time.....

Most people ply the Well Trodden Path. A few seek a different way, and leave a Trail behind.
