There are a number of us. I've ridden with a few guys down in the pine barrens, and there are some more guys in central jersey. Where are you located? I'm in the Red Bank area and ride at Hartshorne and Allaire mostly. I'm up for some riding. There's a Fatbiking in NJ thread on the mtbnj.com forum (started by yours truly). You can PM me if you want to do a ride.

    Cheers,
    Pat

No, but I'm supposed to meet Oney out there Thanksgiving Eve for a ride
Maybe sooner to see what's what
I'm sure he'd like to have you guys come along, the more the merrier
If you don't mind jumpin downed trees in the dark

Also, this would be a great time to get a beach ride going, what do you think?

Yeah, I think he posted something about that earlier. Or maybe it was a PM?
I can't swing it, but you guys go ahead and have fun. One of these days we'll ride again!

Hello, Dave here,New to Fatties, not to MTB'ing. My home field is the Jersey Pines (mostly Batsto/Wharton), but I also ride White Clay/Fair Hills, and my new favorite spot;Blue Marsh (Pa)...I just put a deposit down so they would hold a Large Mukluk 2 for me(only one I could find just about anywhere)...Hope to pick it up within a few weeks, if not sooner...Don't laugh, but I had no idea these things were so popular! I saw one out in the pines one day, and thought it looked like it would be a blast to ride, but figured it was some home-made contraption, not something you could actually buy from a shop!!! I can't wait to pick mine up, It's definetly going to fuel my bike addiction even further!!! We're usually riding Sunday mornings (meet at the Batsto lot) feel free to join in the fun. I do plan on starting from Carranza once I get my Fatty, will post on here once I do....Also, saw a shirt the other day that read "No Fat Chics...Just Fat Bikes"...had to laugh, but want one, LOL!

The Thanksgiving Eve ride will be it from me for the rest of the year(unless it snows). Hunting season, holiday's. The next thing for 2013, will be the Whorton 40. If you would like to ride this, send me dates that will work, or not work for you. This ride is on a Saturday in Jan. or Feb. Davesnhere, the good thing with a fat bike in the pines, is it lets you ride all Summer. The bad news is the bugs are looking for somethig fat to eat.

Hey, Thanks for the reply...Looks like Feb. might be do able...I want to get some miles on a fatty before doing long distances...I currently ride 20-30 on sunday's on my 29er in the dirt, and 90-120 during the week (road)....I know what u mean about the bugs in the summer time, had to use a 1/2 can of bug spray just to get out of the lot at Batsto all summer long!

    Hey Jim,
Are the trails cleared at CR yet?
I'm looking to get a ride in somewhere tomorrow (Sunday).

Sheesh. Ended up riding at Clayton, which is only halfway open.
Pretty boring place, but better than couch surfing!
