    Fat Recumbent

    One was spotted and reported by journalists accompanying the ~400 mile Cycling The Erie Canal 2013 trek which just ended: Erie Canal Cycle | Multimedia

    Pretty typical first reaction to a fat bike, overestimating the width of the tires.

    The solar panel is a nice touch.

    I'm probably wrong but there's a kit available that turns a Cannondale Vee bike into a recumbent. Kinda looks like that to me...
    Add a fat fork, modify the rear...

    I think it looks purpose built as a recumbent
