Butterfly / Trekking Bars on a Pugs

Anyone ever tried this? I'm sort of intrigued. And you can get a pair for cheap... unlike the jones bars. I'm sure they'd be garbage on technical single track, but on my commute they might just work...

I was just looking @ Velo Orange's new bar thinking it's everything a fatpacker could want in a bar

If Huffy made an airplane, would you fly in it?

A cheap alternative to new bars is to slide a set of bar ends inside the shift/brake mounts close to the stem. There are lots of shapes, lengths and materials out there. They have fallen out of fashion with the cool kids, but they still work great, especially for commuter set-ups and gravel grinders on a MTB where you need to change hand positions.

Old thread....haha. Anyway, I am going to try a pair of Nashbar Trekking bars on my fat bike. I had a pair on my hybrid bike that was my commuter bike for 3 years and LOVED them. They really helped my joints and gave me better control of the bike over the flat bars. Not sure how they will work on 4" wide tires...but for $20 they would be worth trying.
