    Bought My First Fatty!

I was close to dropping a heavy amount of cabbage on a 18 Farley but just couldn't swing it and I got a little hesitant I would ride it a season and the love would fall off. So i looked for a used Farley.

Found a 16 Farley 7. Dropped $1450 for it. Original Barbegazi 26x4.7 tires look pretty much new. Came with original axle and a custom rear axle for a sled (he tracked his kid around on the snow). Also came with a set of Veetireco SnowShoeXL 26x4.8 studded. Studs are about new.

Everything he said about the bike was spot on. Only had some rub wear from cables (fixed with some tape) and 1 scratch. Call it a 90% + shape. Hubs sound great and internals were clean and had some grease in there; didn't take BB apart but feels and sounds solid. I have been very pleased with SRAM 1x but no such love for the XG set the Farley comes with. It does what it's suppose to and the front right and cassette are not even close to worn. Just not as smooth as X1 or Eagle. Seems to take a tad longer to drop the downshift (probably cable).

Overall very, very stoked with this pick up. All indications are this poor guy bought a size too small. It fits me a ok at 5"10 but it's the smaller side of my fit. He was 2" taller. I know the frustration of a close BUT not quite right bike fit all to well. This one worked out for me. Guy was a good dude too. THis was my first online buy.

Looking forward to some snow now!!!!!!! Has me wondering how much this will affect the snowboard time.

I ride my 7 all the time. Raced it at last Sunday at the Fair Hill classic in Elkton Md. They are just a fun bike. I have no problem with the gx setup. It works. I also put a set of 27.5 Jackalopes on with a with 3.8 Hodags. Went oval chainring and Bluto. If i had to sell all my bikes but 1 it would be the Farley!
    ENJOY!

These fatties are cool as shitz! Few beers and I'm tooling around the yard on it for no reason. I do think I need to make mine tubeless. Such a big ass tire.

New fat bikes are the best , I've got two Double D's already up at my cabin for snow, but I just got a bucksaw for some down in the desert trail riding.

Fat bikes are like an addiction , Once you go fat you never go back
