    Big Utility Hooks?

Anyone know where to get or custom makes, hooks like in the the pic? It'd be really handy to hang my fat bike up with.

Not hard to find. Go to any home improvement store.

I'll check them out. I just question their strength, for the repeated hanging of a 40-lbs rig (if they are just longer versions of the smaller ones that is).

I hang my pugs on that same hook. Works perfect. Hard to argue with the price too.

I had ladder hooks from Lowe's in my old garage, held the pug just fine.

    Ummm...

They are available ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have things that are 10x heavier than a bike hanging on them right now.

It's not the hook that is the worry, it's the connection or fastening to the structure that is the biggest issue. Rigging 101.

I second this. I had to hang some new hooks for a bike recently and there were NO joists anywhere near where I needed to put the hooks. I had to cut a couple of 2x4 stringers to mount between the ceiling joists using hangers. Ended up needing to buy a palm nailer to nail everything off due to a gas line running right over where I needed to nail (sigh). But once it was nailed off, I got the hooks into wood and everything is rock solid.

Found some heavy duty ones at Crap-Tire for $5.00+. Work great!
