    "Baby Fat" Trailer

Lots of subtle mods to increase trail worthiness. Not for extreme but it will increase terrain capability (beach, rocks, dbl track) as well as comfort for junior.

Anybody else have new trailer builds?

Yeah, I've been through and read many prior threads from which I developed ideas for this build. Seeing nothing scrolling back a few pages, I started a new thread - seems reasonable.

Funny though - the hours and hundreds put into building a crazy rig like this and you comment on the backgrounds. To answer, the garage was full of Winter junk and poorly lit, meanwhile a greenscreen is set up in the room beside... So, yeah, Winter junk to hide.

Nice!! I had those tires on order but waited weeks without word so went with Endo's and Shebas on discount. Nice to have that close contact with your child, though I don't suppose it would work too well on trails. For snow, I'll stick to skis but keen to try this out more when it clears.

    A few more trailer mods

Building on the ideas of prior posts, I wanted to ensure that the Chariot could handle any lateral stress from the big hoops. So, I spent part of Saturday in a machine shop crafting these axles for the 20mm hubs purchased new. For now the axle just U bolts onto the current suspended axle. Without tools you can separate them apart by about 8 inches, allowing for clearance on tight trails yet anti-roll stability on faster sections such as fire roads. Note the reflectors in the cutouts too. Other mods include support bars on each side, foam lining on the inside, a bolt on roll bar, and many more in mods in the works.
