How in the f*ck would you keep your feet warm?

I've rode in some pretty cold weather before and been ok, but after too long my toes get cold and there's no warming them back up. I wear some pretty well insulated boots and several pair of wool socks, but that only cuts it for a few hours.

Kudos to those who finish. Already some dropping out I see.

JayP in the lead with no stopping at CP1. Pure racing style even in extreme cold temps! Some good racers in the DNF's at CP1. Must be brutal for the feet in these temps (and the entire body and bike for that matter!

Jay Petervary takes the win in 20h11min. He finishes pushing his bike du to a frozen hub. Second and third place goes to Tom Puzak (21h26min) and Alec Petro (22h34min). Great performance guys!

Many racers still on the course after a brutally cold night.

I can't even imagine how difficult this race must be! Nearly 1/2 of the runners and 2/3 of the bikers have dropped out so far and 4 bikes have finished in 26 hours. Incredible performance by Jay P. and it looks like his wife Tracey will be the 5th finisher and first woman as well. Congratulations to all of the racers!

Anyone know how long the leader had to push his bike?
Petro got a flat with 8 miles to go....pump failed and had to push.

Really good boots and ONE pair of wool socks works.

I just read that the guy that took second ran out of water and was dehydrated, finally urinated into a water bottle filled with snow and then drank that so he could make it to the finish line. Now that is hard core!
