April 12 Snow Ride - For those out of snow, eat your hearts out.

I know there are a lot of fatty riders that either don't see snow or their snow is long gone. Here, the snow riding is as good as ever. I just thought I'd brag a little.

If you are still riding in snow, post some pictures!

blades2000, that's some good looking snow.
veloborealis, I understand. I drove south to Colorado last weekend to get some nice weather and dry dirt after freezing on a road ride in the morning. It looked like this.

April 12 Snow Ride - For those out of snow, eat your hearts out.

I was out in 75 degree sunshine, wearing shorts, not wearing a jacket, and absolutely not missing the snow. My blood circulates better in the warmth.

    Nice photos BTW.
Riding Fat and still just as fast as I never was.

We rode today at Grand beach, Manitoba....ya see that big blue lake in the middle of North America? We did a tiny bit of tat on the x-c ski trails....without a trace of damage (although the trails were messed by a quad) and out onto the lake. Sorry, no pics yet...nap time.

43 F here in Anchorage today and plenty of snow left out there for riding. I pulled twenty along the coastal trail and around some single track and it was glorious! Apart from the other trail users, the trails were firm and fast. March and April seem to be about the best time of the year for fat biking around here. Love it. By next weekend I should be in shorts and a tee shirt and will still be riding snow. Well, hopefully.

The trails were closed for a week before we got a few inches of snow.

Then they were open for a few days....so I got out for a ride.

Now its raining hard=trails closed again.

April 15, there's too much new snow in the mountains to ride so it's a town ride today.

And now winter won't stop. Our snow base for the year has doubled in one week.

It was well into the 40's by the end of the ride.

    Snowless Just Gotta Make Do

    No crisp air.
    No riotous fall colors.
    No changing seasons.
No shimmering white blanket of snow.
But in the 5 Oh we ride on anyway, and abide.

On May 17 here in Anchorage I rode in a nice snow squall. Nothing stuck around too long, but in some spots in town we recorded 9 inches by the end of the day Saturday. Not good riding snow, but snow just the same. We make do.
