    2011/12 Mukluk & Knards?

Simple question - will a knard fit in the rear of a 2011/12 (Non alternator) Mukluk on either rabbit hole rims or regular 29er wheels?

I'm considering going down this route for my next 29er build

According to salsa they will not fit with the rabbit holes, not sure if 29er rims are any different. That said, I would like to see pics from somebody that has tried because it has got to be close.

Has anyone run a mukluk with 29er wheels? Just wondering how it would ride as a summer bikepacking rig?

At least it works very well as a summer bikepacking rig with fat wheels, or as in my summer configuration with semifat wheels (3.8" Larry and Knard on 47 mm rims). For bikepacking on singletrack I wouldn't want any narrower, though I'd like to try the Rabbit Hole and Knards (a 2014 frame is ordered for that).

I'm fairly certain (2012 Muk 2 medium here) that you can't squeeze it in there... I took a Surly Lou and mounted it on my rear holy darryl just to see if that would fit, and it was locked against the chainstay brace, wouldn't even spin--and I think the diameter of the Lou (26) and the Knard (29) is very similar (780 mm Knard, 782mm Lou). Perhaps someone else has the definitive word and pic yea or nay.

I have tried a Knard/Gordo combo on a 2011 Mukluk rear and it did not fit. Currently going with a Weirwolf 2.55" in the back and the Knard in the front. Works great for my summer hard tail riding!! Love the Knard, it is a monster!!
