    No more 26" fs bikes???

My 12 year old has pretty much outgrown his 24" bike, but he's not the tallest in his class so I can't imagine putting him on a 27.5" or 29" bike. Anyone know of a manufacturer still putting out a decent 26" fs trail bike in small sizes? I'm coming up with blanks other than full on DH bikes...

    updated information

How about the Trek Fuel EX 6, or 8, available in 26 inch wheels? Or the Specialized Safire? I don't know how your son feels about being seen on a ladies' bike; my 8-year-old would have no idea that it's not a boy's bike.

Was hoping not to spend 2 grand, and my 12 y.o. would know and be pissed.

I don't know if anyone has sold "decent" full suspension bikes for less than 2 grand, for a while now. I guess your only choice at this point is BikesDirect...

Closeout Superlight frame would work. Only have mediums left though.

Jenson has the GT Force on sale for $1639, available in size small.

Some place called America's Bike Company has the GT Sensor 4.0 26er in size small for $1499 with free shipping. I don't know anything about them.

Those are some of the non-BD sub-$2000 26er FS bikes available out there.
