    New Tires Maxxlites??? Karma???

So what are some of your little weight weenies running now. Looking to save some more weight on my son's bike and I need some new tires for my wifes bike so I figure I can save a little by pulling his ignitors off and trying something else. Thinking of some Maxxlite 285's He only weighs 75lbs so I think they would probably hold up fine but they are a little expensive. The Kenda Karmas look OK and are quite a bit less expensive but 1/2 lb heavier for the pair. Anyone have any experience with either??????

There are some maxxlite 315s that are not as expensive but they may still be quite weak even for a kid. Grip is very minimal. I find with my kids that they need a grippy tyre for braking.

On my daughter's 26er I use conti race king supersonics in 2.0 size setup tubeless. They weigh about 400g a tyre and I use one scoop of stands per tyre. This will end up being a similar weight to maxxlites and a lightweight tube but the grip will be much higher.
