    Help me with Cannondale Trail 24 build

    Here are the stock specs: Frame: Trail 24, Optimized 6061 alloy, smooth welding

    Fork: SunTour XCT-JR 24, 40mm travel, 1-1/8" steerer, coil, w/ canti mounts

    Crank: Alloy 152mm crank, 36T steel chianring

    Bottom Bracket: Cartridge square taper

    Shifters: Shimano, RS-36, Revo Twist

    Cog Set: Shimano, 7-speed freewheel, 14-28

    Chain: KMC Z50, 1/2x3/32"

    So the first thing I want to change up is the whole drivetrain. I would like to go either 1x9 or 1x10. Which ever is the best option price wise. Changing out the drivetrain will force me to get a new wheelset. I am thinking of going to a Stans 24" 24 spoke setup. I need hub choices. Also will be going to trigger shifters. After the wheels and drivetrain, the only other component would be to go with a decent hydraulic disc brake setup. I am currently searching everywhere for a used Rock Shox SID 26" fork (older model).
    Stem, seatpost, and handlebars will be an easy swap.
    With the drivetrain swap, I am going to need shorter crankarms, so that is an issue. Also it has a square taper BB, can that be changed out to something more compatible with whats out there for sale?
    I am guessing I should stay away from a long cage RD?
