Not a MTB build I know, but hopefully it might be interesting to people.

Here is my son's first 700c road bike (he has been on smaller wheeled bikes before this one). Based on a 41cm Ridley Icarus frame, the aim was to produce something that was very light (as there is nothing of him!) but didn't break the bank. Nearly everything here is either off eBay or the spares bin, with only a few things brand new.

The pictures were taken back in December and he has grown since then and fits it really well thanks to the very compact frame.
