    24" --> 26" Light durable models !

    I have 3 boys 8,9,11 and they are all ready for 26" bikes.
    Two have been moved up, youngest just waiting for a bike
    11yo to a medium Sugar 1 (5'3")
    9yo to a small Sugar 3 (4'9")
    8yo still on 24"

    Any other suggestions for nice (high end used models) bikes that won't break bank?

    Look for a Pivot Mach 5.7 Alum. in a size XS. This is an awesome bike for kids moving up from 24" ( I'm thinking on going this route when my guy is tall enough ). I checked one out at a Pivot demo day I was recently at.DW Link suspension & lots of travel 140mm. I believe an XS would come in right around 5 lbs. with the shock.Look for a used one with Deore or SLX build.

    Look out for Santa Cruz Juliana's. They make an XS model and the Juliana has been in their line-up for ages so there's quite a few of them out there second hand. They're usually not girly looking with only a small "Juliana" sticker to distinguish them. Take off the sticker and they are the same design as the Superlight. The design was freshened up a few years back but the earlier model is still an excellent frame.
