    20" Fork Needed

I need a 20" suspension fork for my son's bike. He is currently riding a 2006 hand me down and while everything else on the bike works perfectly, the fork does not. I realize the forks on these bikes are not very good, but the RST fork on my daughter's 20" Hot Rock is night and day better.

I know that I can buy a spinner air fork, but I anticipate he will be on the bike for only one more summer. Just want something that works ok. I don't want to invest a bunch of money into it.

    What are my options?

There is next to no market for aftermarket 20" MTB forks, suspension or not. Other than what you've got the best option may be to get a rigid fork for the time being. KHS, Specialized, and Trek offer a rigid option on their new MTB. Check with local dealers to price/source one.

I've eBay'd for one. They have some. You need to filter the search really good. Forks in For Wheel Size:20 in, Type:Suspension | eBay

Early 90's manitou forks make great 20" kids forks when chopped down to size.
The manitou I modified for my daughters 20" weighs just 1130gr, a good 1-2 pounds lighter than any of the currently available new forks which are ridiculously overbuilt for kid use.

What about the Spinner 20" fork that is on the Spawn Savage and I think the Specialized Hotrocks and others OEM? I think they are on eBay and Aliexpress and whatnot. I think you could probably source one thru your local Specialized dealer.
