now question time.................
1, could i service them myself ? im pretty proficient.
2, would they fit ? (silly question ?)
3, are all disc brackets in the same place ?
4, if i grinded off the v-brake posts and filled them etc would this weaken the fork to the point of being ruined ?
thanks in advance guys for my stupid questions............

The name seems to suggest it would be perfect, but jokes aside...

I'm 6'5", 98kg, I've been riding a full susser Specialized FSR XC Expert 2010 for the past two years and I want a new bike which is more geared to cross country riding as apposed to downhill stuff, as this would suit what I do more.

I've been looking at a few hardtails and noticed my local bike store has a good deal on a 2012 Canondale Flash Carbon 4. It looks like a good bike but I'm kind of worried about the Super Fatty DLR80 fork which for one looks different to most forks and also has only 80mm travel. Also the carbon frame. Considering how heavy I am.

Does this bike suit me or should I be getting a stronger bike?

Lefty frontwheel wobbling - normal?

Hello,

I am a new Lefty owner, and I have noticed that the frontwheel is not 100% tight.
When I grab the wheel at the tyre I can rock it slightly left/right, but it isn't that much. Enough though so that I noticed that there is some play when I moved the bike around at home and checked...
When I grab it at the hub there is no noticeable play.

Does that sound like it is within the "normal" specs of a left fork and hub, or should I do something about it?

cheers
grani

PS: Yes I have checked if the wheel is properly tightened to the fork.
