My buddy and I rode the Plattekill Test Enduro for the ESC this weekend.
The guys at Plattekill put together a pretty rad course that will definitely fit the big-balled and big-lunged fella who has some handling skills on a trail bike. A lot of the trails are FAST with just enough bumps in there to keep you on your toes. There are plenty of places where the trail was 10-12 feet wide and allows for some interesting line choice.
There are a couple man-up lines where you can really shave off a few seconds if you have some skills and bravery. We were both on our Stumpjumper Expert EVOs and neither of us experienced any "Oh 5HIT there is no way I'll make it through this" moments. Most of the stages end with a quick, miserable climb to spread out riders before they time out and to make sure it doesn't turn into a downhill race.
Just thought I'd share. I'm looking forward to tearing it up on race weekend.
