How much climbing per stage? Is there a night stage as well?

I have done quite a few DH races at the firestone property and it is always a great time. Hope to make it out there.

All in one day... no night racing in this one, we wanted to keep the barriers to entry low.
there is roughly 2400 feet of climbing total, so for SB not much!

i have really enjoyed the courses out there on my six inch bike, not a lot of need for brakes. which is actually why we built another course. the new one will be a lot less flowy and will require some brakes and some thought about lines and cornering.

so there will be some fast flowy trails, one with more rhythm changes.

we use a chip timing system. chips on bikes with a timing loop at the finish. it is backed up by stop watches so that in the event of a generator failure and battery failure we can still provide timing. at the check points (start and finish) the times are written on a time card that the rider Carries. so you know your time right away. the times are also stored in a computer and can be printed within a few minutes of the final rider finishing.... it worked really well in our summer event.

Anyone driving down from NorCal? Thinking of going down Thursday night for practice on Friday and seeing if someone wants to carpool.

What an awesome event! Good turn out, pump track was a blast, timing went without a hitch, tons of prizes and it just had a really cool vibe. Ben Cruz took the pro open win with some fast boys on his heals. Big thanks to Eric and VP for another great event!
    Enjoy every ride!

Every race I have been to at the dirt club/ Firestone winery has been a great vibe and a blast. Love that place it sure is a gem to have. I have only done dh races there and the shuttle rigs have always been awesome from u-haul box trucks with no lights and cargo door closed stuffed with a ton of riders to a horse trailer with fresh sh!t covering the floor, nice aroma when its over 90* out there

    Anyone have pics or vids?
