TUBELESS OR TUBES for the 2013 race? Why?

Tubeless all the time. Pretty standard for the Moab and Grand Junction areas. There are more than enough square edges, thorns, etc to flat tubes. You'll still cut a tire every so often but virtually end pinch flats and minor holes. Most of us run tube-like pressures with tubeless to limit rim dings and tire cuts.

^^^ yep. Jesse nailed it. I couldn't imagine running tubes, and was definitely running a relatively high pressure...based on my highly scientific squeeze test.
