whats old is new to me

It might be old news to some but it was new to me so I though I'd pass on an article I read. It's in the UMCA web site and the rider is Emily O'brien.
It reminds me of what I was told long ago by a friend,he said "no matter what you're doing or going threw it's been done before.your not that special."
This type of reading is exactly what I like to take in before a big event as it gives me some perspective.
Yes 300+ miles racing is new to me but it's been done before by other "normal" people. So really how hard can it be?

Funny, I told my friend that a few years ago. We are basically repeating history. The only comforting thought is although something my have been done before it has never been done by (insert own name here) before. Truly our experiences should matter most to ourselves.
