    Training and Rest Race regimen

    Have a race Sunday.

Training very intense until Thursday. Not sure to train hard or light Friday.

    I assume rest on Saturday?

    Your opinion?

I think that this would be too late for me. For you, to fit in with what you already have planned, I would say rest on Friday, light on saturday( lite vol some unforced speed ), race Sunday. My opinion, not highly informed, best really to just do what feels right and enjoy.
    Cheers, Dave

Chill out now. Get some rest.

I don't like race days to be my first day back on the bike. So I'd do something short with a couple of "real," but still short, efforts on Saturday.

How long is your race on Sunday, how many hours of riding during the week?

I like to get at least a short ride in the day before a race.

My coach has me rest 2 days before and do a very easy hour the day before. It works - I feel fresh race day. He also reduces my training intensity the week prior to a long race and the week after.
