    Syllamo Revenge Tire Selection?

Trying to select the right tread for Syllamo's revenge. Supposed to be dry. Kenda Nevegal or Specialized Fast Trak S Works? Running both tubeless.

I'm not sure about the Specialized tire, but the Nevegal should hold up ok. Use whatever your favorite "riding around stuff that's sharp" tire, and you'll be in good shape. Go as low as you dare on the tire pressure, too. It'll help a lot with your traction on the gravely and rocky stuff.

I wouldn't run the s-works, too easy to tear the sidewall. I ran the Fast Trak control last year, no problems. Running the Renegade control this year.

I have also been running a Fast Trak 2.2 controls. Have been riding the heck out of them for half a year and have yet to get a flat running tubeless. They are plenty fast on hard pack and semi loose sections with just enough traction.

You will get plenty more traction with Nevegals but at the cost of rolling resistance.

~PS : Look into Geax Saguaros, great all rounder tire.

Renegade 2.2's F&R this year at about 20psi. I've done Raven's at Syllamo with surprisingly great luck, not for everyone though.

Skip the S-works, but Control versions should be great. Nevegals are a bit more than required, but wouldn't be an awful front tire. It would be painful to ride that as a rear tire for that many race miles.

I remembered this from last year. I am a fan of the Ardent, but I don't know what syllamo trails are like. It is a heavy tire. YMMV
