Songs that get stuck in your head during 24's.

Anyone else had a silly, slightly annoying song stuck in your head for a 24? Or any song you remember well going round and round your head over and over again? I had this song stuck in my head for a 24 before, the song from the Turkish Airlines advert. Slightly random and not sure how it got there in the first place! It didn't seem to effect my performance though .

Never done a 24, but every hundy I've raced I'll get an annoying song in my head at some point which will then crop up several times in the race.

"Around the World" By Daft Punk. PS, now you know the words to the song. Over and over and over and over.

In my last 24 Coldplay's "Clocks" was stuck in my head....I guess that was appropriate. Another from prior 24's has been "I want to be sedated" by the Ramones....once again....quite appropriate for a 24.

This got stuck there during the last 24 I did.
My dad used to sing it years and years ago

"Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I want to go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it's gone right to my head
    Everywhere I roam
Over land or sea or foam
You can always hear me singing this song
Show me the way to go home."
    Cheers, Dave

When competing in the WSC24 in Canberra, Australia in 2010 I had the whole original "Men at Work" theme playing for 24hrs in my head....it didn't help my results though....those Aussies are fast!

"There's a rat in the kitchen..what am I gonna do...There's a rat in the kitchen what am I gonna do.."

    UB40

    I only repeat this line...argh!

Usually this happens when I paddle out on a big day of surf and have duck-dived numerous times and can hardly breathe.

It drives me up the wall. It has been happening since the dang song came out! I will say though that the rat in the kitchen repeat is MUCH better than that Turkish Airlines song...haha. Classic!

You should sing that Turkish song out loud as you pass other racers.

UB40. The fun starts at 35 seconds in....enjoy!!

Roots rock reggae always seems to creep into my head. Not a bad song to have stuck in my head, at least.

i don't think i've ever ridden a bicycle for more than two hours without getting "the long run" by the eagles stuck in my head. whether i like it or not (i do), it's what i hear when im on the bike a while.

i have a curse of getting certain songs stuck in my head. "hero" by mariah carey invades my mind for literally weeks at a time, seemingly only during rough periods at work when i'm working very long hours, like tax season or year-end. i HATE that song!

The thing that would get stuck in my head would be, "My butt hurts" and "I want to sleep." Hats off to the 24 hour racers!

Not proud of it, but Guns & Roses "One in a Million" for the last three hours of perhaps my best endurance race ever.
