    Shenandoah Mountain 100 On SS

Looking for help with Gearing for the Shenandoah Mountain 100 for a SS I ran a 32-14 at Lumberjack. I am anticipating a little smaller gearing any suggestions would be appreciated

    southern traverse?

I did the southern traverse trail in 36:18; the fireroad climb had me walking in spots. After that, it was perfect. Following Jeremiah Bishop's line was inspiring.

I'm going to use a 32x19 on my 29er. I spin a bit on the fireroads but I like it on the climbs.

Climbing on the Traverse is fairly minimal compared to the SM100 course.

Keep in mind that Dicky is a machine on the SS when taking gearing advice from him
