The Rivers Edge Mountain Bike Marathon is moving up a little earlier on the calendar in 2013. The event will be held on Sunday, April 28 at the beautiful Wood Run Trails in the Uwharrie National Forest.
The Rivers Edge Mountain Bike Marathon is a 55 mile race, five laps on a 11 mile loop in the Uwharrie National Forest. The work being completed at the trails has turned the forest into a true mountain bike destination as it offers a great combination of climbing, fast rolling descents and technical singletrack. These are some of the best trails in central North Carolina, and you don't want to miss racing there on April 28th.
Event Address: Hwy 24/27, about 10 miles east of Albemarle, NC. For GPS use North Carolina 24/27, NC 27306.
Primitive dispersed camping is allowed throughout the Forest, except in those areas that are posted "No Camping".
Registration is now OPEN.
Registration at the 2013 Rivers Edge Mountain Bike Marathon will include an event t-shirt (only guaranteed to those who pre-register), fully stocked food pit, post race cookout, cold beer and a day full of fun on the bike.
