    Riding the Great Divide?

I just saw the movie, my question is this...Are there any races that are still "alive" for this route? I know one is now defunct but is Tour the Divide still around? Also, any other endurance races that are good? I want to set a goal of doing one in a year and a half.

Small ring in front makes it easier. Small ring in back makes it harder. That blows my mind.

Welcome, Bienvenue, Bienvenido a... | Tour Divide

A year and a half is about how long it would take me to finish. A friend of mine started this last year and had to pull out with a leg injury in Butte, MT., about a week into it. He was doing 100+ mile days on his 29er for months and months ahead of the race.

    Check out Bikepacking.net

Tour Divide is alive and well - even though the organizers have gone 'underground' and aren't updating their website. The Ultra Racing Section in the Bike Packing Forums has a number of threads devoted to the event.
