New southeast hundred miler - Oak Ass 100

This has been in the works for awhile and now it is the real deal.

Alabama(yes...NASCAR land Alabama) has a 50/100 miler coming up Nov. 23 2013 thanks to our local trail organization (BUMP) and Chainbuster racing.

Each lap is 25 miles with 2300 feet of elevation gain. The course is super fun and has something for everyone. Twisty singletrack, big fireroad climbs, technical singletrack descending, and great views from the top of the mountain. Better bring your bike handling skills for this one.

I've been riding these trails since I was 15 and still love them. Really stoked for this race to be happening. Check it:

This could lead to a whole series of "Ass" races. You could have the Dumbass 50, the Hardass 100, the Bigass 200, etc. The possibilities are endless.
