    MTn biker almost wins roadie race...

    Way to go Tinker! (2nd at Mt. Washington) Oh, and don't forget Ned Overend's second place finish on Mt Evans this year (a race he won twice before).

    Now what do we do? Roadies winning mountain bike races, endurance mountain bikers almost winning "short" road climbs! Was it a road course suited to mt bikers? What's this world coming to?

    Maybe the reality is that, except perhaps for super specialized disciplines, the level of skill and fitness can be transferable?

    All rhetorical questions, but seemed relevant given the recent Leadville debate...

    I know the secret....but please keep it to yourself;

    ....they are fit, trained and ride bikes.

    They are all part of one happy family. They don't eat their own due to insecurities about others in the sport.

    By the way, Tinker Juarez is 49 YEARS OLD. The "King Of The Skateparks" has truly done it all.

    Join Tinker in Kirkwood. He's racing the Kirkwood Nine to Five on Saturday, and the day before he's leading the "Take A Lap With Tinker" ride where he'll demonstrate the best lines and techniques for the race.
